Valeria Saraño

Hello. Since 2021 I have been the nurse at the XIS school. I have a degree in nursing and I have work experience of more than 20 years in hospitals and occupational medicine.

I have completed the online school nurse emergency care course taught in the USA and CPR course by the Red Cross of China.

My goal is to keep the XIS community healthy and provide timely care in the event of an emergency or urgency.

Annual Health Checks

Once a year I will be checking the health of the students, their weight, height, general appearance, vital signs and an eye check will be performed.

The importance of annual check-ups is to know the status of the students and their growth and also to prevent future illnesses.

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

About Nurse Care

XIS has a nurse’s station located in building A, in room A112, available from 7:45 to 4 PM Monday through Friday.

If a student does not feel well, when they arrive at the nurse’s office, their vital signs will be taken, pertinent questions will be asked and the necessary treatment will be administered to feel better. Generally, the student will be in the office at least 30 minutes. If in this time frame the student does not improve, the nurse will contact the XIS office so that he or she can communicate with their parents and plan their return home.
